Los Angeles, (ENTRAVISION).- With Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal's official announcement yesterday, the number of candidates seeking the presidential nomination raises to 17. Heres what five of them are doing today to get closer to the White House.
Jeb Bush
Floridas former governor, Jeb Bush, will be in Houston and Dallas, where he will be attending two fundraisers, according to The Texas Tribune. The Dallas event will be held at wealth manager John Tollesons home, and the Houston reception will take place at the St. Regis Hotel.
At both events, chairs are expected to raise $27,000, which gets them a photo with the candidate and an invitation to a family retreat in Kennebunkport, Maine in July. Co-hosts are expected to raise $13,500 and any individuals will have to pay $2,7000 per ticket.
Marco Rubio
The senator and Republican candidate will be back in New Hampshire, where he will be key speaker in a town hall meeting organized by the Concerned Veterans for America organization.
Bobby Jindal
A day after officially announcing his campaign, the Louisiana governor will dedicate part of his morning to interviews with Fox and Friends, MSNBC Morning Joe and CNN New Day. He will then attend to events in New Hampshire, one of them will also be attended by Major Ted Gatsas.
Mike Huckabee
The former governor of Arkansas and Republican candidate will continue to hold a series of events in Iowa, from a family breakfast to a town hall meeting organized by Marion County GOP Central Committee.
Ben Carson
Neurosurgeon and Republican candidate will also be in Iowa for two open to the public events in Rock Rapids Frontier Bank and Sioux Center.
