Los Angeles, (ENTRAVISION). According to a recent poll by NBC and the Wall Street Journal, the Republican candidate Ben Carson has taken the lead in the Republican presidential race with the support of 29 percent of the GOP primary voters.
Right behind Carson is Donald Trump with 23 percent, Marco Rubio with 11 percent, Ted Cruz with 10 percent and finally Jeb Bush at 8 percent.
Carsons 29 percent is the highest percentage that any GOP candidate has obtained in NBC/WSJ poll history.
The poll was conducted October 25 through 29 before last weeks presidential debate hosted by CNBC.
This is not the first time the retired neurosurgeon has taken the lead on a national poll, just the previous week a survey conducted by New York Times/CBS News, revealed that Carson received 26 percent of support from the primary voters while Trump only obtained 22 percent.
However a survey conducted by Monmouth University, shows Trump as the leader in New Hampshire with 26 percent of the votes, against Ben Carson who only reached 16 percent.
The same survey demonstrated different results in Iowa, where Carson took the lead with 32 percent of voters and Trump only obtained 18 percent.
